BoardHall is a hall of eight timeless board games you can play instantly — no download, no sign-up, no ads inside the board. Challenge a hand-crafted AI at three difficulty levels (four in chess, up to Grandmaster), or pass the device to a friend in local two-player mode. Every win earns XP toward your Hall Rank, daily streaks reward coming back, and each game tracks your record against every AI level.
Pick a game card in the lobby — they are ordered from easiest (Tic-Tac-Toe) to deepest (Chess). Choose vs Computer and a difficulty level, then tap Play. On touch screens, tap a piece and then tap a highlighted destination, or simply drag pieces where you want them. With a mouse, click or drag; on keyboard, move the cursor with the arrow keys and confirm with Enter. Legal moves are always highlighted, captures are mandatory where the rules demand it (Checkers will tell you), and the Undo and Hint buttons are unlimited — using them keeps your win but won't extend your streak.
Tic-Tac-Toe teaches the controls in 30 seconds — Level 3 plays perfectly, so a draw is the best possible result. Connect Four rewards center control. Gomoku is five-in-a-row on a 15×15 board, freestyle rules. Mancala (Kalah) is a counting race of captures and extra turns. Reversi turns on corner play and mobility. Checkers ships with both American and International (10×10, flying kings) rulesets. Backgammon uses real dice probabilities, gammon scoring and an opening book. Chess runs a full engine with castling, en passant, underpromotion, threefold repetition and the 50-move rule.
Every game you finish against the AI feeds a lightweight progression system. Wins earn XP that lifts you through six Hall ranks — Novice, Apprentice, Strategist, Expert, Master and Grandmaster of the Hall — and harder levels, win streaks and the daily game-of-the-day multiply the reward. Tap the trophy icon in the top bar to open the Trophy Hall: a private dashboard of your rank and XP, your lifetime win-loss-draw record, your best streaks, and a wall of twenty achievement medals from your First Win to Octomaster (beat the top level of all eight games). A short Next goals list always shows the three nearest medals so you know exactly what to chase next. Everything is computed on your device from your own play — there is no account and nothing leaves your phone or laptop.
In Connect Four and Gomoku, control the centre and build two threats at once so a single block can't stop you. In Reversi, grab corners and keep your options open rather than flipping the most discs early. Backgammon rewards safe, efficient pip play and knowing when to double; Mancala is about chaining extra-turn moves. For Chess, develop pieces, castle early and use the unlimited Hint button to learn — just remember that winning with undos or hints still counts as a win but won't extend your streak. Clearing a game's top level for the first time unlocks its Giant Slayer medal.

Does it save my progress? Your XP, streaks and per-level records are stored locally on your device. No account needed.
Is the AI fair? Yes. It never peeks at dice, the chess engine is perft-validated, and lower levels make believable human-like mistakes rather than random ones.
Can two people play? Every game has a local 2-player hotseat mode — friendly matches don't affect your stats.
What is the Trophy Hall? Tap the trophy icon to see your Hall rank and XP, your lifetime record, best streaks, twenty achievement medals and your next goals — all built from your own games and stored privately on your device.
